The study is expected to provide a European view on the characterisation of the business demand for electronic communication services (ECSs) with a focus on both the current situation and the future trends in the next 2-3 years.The study shall characterise the nature and evolution of demand for different types of business customers (SMEs, large firms, public administrations, multinational companies) and trends in competition among traditional ECS providers and competition/cooperation between ECS providers and relevant service providers offering IT services.Furthermore, the study shall give a comprehensive view on how the demand is sensitive to the size of the business and the number of sites to be connected.Finally, the study shall provide a European view on the typologies of key offer-side actors (generalists versus niche operators focused on business services, as well as incumbents versus alternative operators) present in the business market and the way their product portfolios are evolving.
